Chicken Salad Chick to open first Iowa restaurant
Less than a month after announcing plans for its first locations in Kansas, Chicken Salad Chick is continuing its expansion in the Midwest.
The fast-casual chicken salad chain has opened its first restaurant in Iowa, bringing the company’s total footprint to 20 states. Located in Coralville, south of Cedar Rapids, the store will host its grand opening on Wednesday, Oct. 16. The first 100 guests in line will win free chicken salad for a year.

Known for its dozen-plus variety of made-from-scratch chicken salad flavors, Chicken Salad Chick also sells fresh side salads, gourmet soups, signature sandwiches and desserts. The new Coralville restaurant offers in-restaurant dining, drive-thru, take-out, a private dining area, third-party delivery and catering options.
The new location is owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Pat and Melissa Ingle, alongside Pat's aunt, Becky Peterson. The group has four years of franchising experience under their belts from owning a Nothing Bundt Cakes location in Coralville.

Founded in Auburn, Ala. in 2008, Chicken Salad Chick operates more than 270 restaurants nationwide.
