CBRE names new retail chief in the Mid-Atlantic 

Katie Mahon has returned to the company where she began her retail real estate career 20 years ago, having been named senior managing director and retail leader in CBRE’s Mid-Atlantic division.

Mahon will oversee CBRE’s retail operations and growth strategy in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia and will promote the company’s joint venture partnership with Streetsense. She will be based in Washington and report to division president Kyle Schoppmann.

“This is a crucial role for our division and one that we carefully recruited for over the past year. Katie is joining at an exceptionally demanding time,” Schoppmann said.

Prior to rejoining CBRE, Mahon served as senior managing director of strategy and operations for retail in the Americas at Cushman & Wakefield.
