CBRE hires new leasing VP for the Kansas City metro

Jody House, who has spent more than 30 years leasing space to retailers for CBL Properties and Steiner + Associates, has joined CBRE to focus on landlord representation and leasing for shopping centers and mixed-use developments in the Kansas City metro.

“Jody is a well-known player in retail markets across the Midwest and East Coast, and we’re pleased to welcome her to Kansas City,” said CBRE’s managing director of the office, Leah FitzGerald.

House, who executed more than 100,000 sq. ft. of leases for Oak Park Mall in Overland Park, Kan., and Cool Springs Galleria in Nashville at CBL, joins CBRE as a first VP. During 11 years at Steiner, she rose to senior VP and helped execute 2 million sq. ft. of leases across a five-state retail center portfolio that included Easton Town Center in Columbus.

“Her long-held relationships and market expertise will benefit our existing retail team,” FitzGerald said.
