Casto named one of Ohio’s best employers

One of Ohio’s biggest retail developers, with 65 properties in the state, is also one of its best companies to work for.

Columbus-based Casto has been named one of the 2020 Best Employers in Ohio, in a listing compiled by Crain’s Cleveland Business and Best Companies Group. It’s the eighth time that Casto has taken the honor. Its last two designations came in 2016 and 2018.

“If I had to nominate the company based upon my fellow Casto co-workers and peers, I would nominate the company as the ‘Best Team,’” said company partner Don M. Casto. “We have a group of professionals that are collaborative, innovative, and entrepreneurial in spirit, and that’s what makes Casto great.”

Companies’ gradings for workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics count for 25% of the evaluation. Favorable ratings received from employees in a survey play the biggest role in winning the honor.

Casto owns and operates a total of 105 retail properties, all east of the Mississippi River.
