Things Remembered names CEO
Things Remembered has promoted one of its own to head of the class.
The retailer, which specializes in personalized merchandise, announced the promotion of Nelson Tejada, from president to president and CEO.
Tejada was named president of Things Remembered in 2017, after he rejoined the company in 2015 as senior VP, chief merchandising officer. He rejoined the company from Schurman Retail Group, where he had been chief merchandising officer since 2009. At SRG, Tejada had global responsibilities for 750 stores in the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom.
Before SRG, he was VP of merchandising at American Greetings retail division. Tejada’s previous role with Things Remembered was from 2000 to 2005, as VP, general merchandise manager.
Things Remembered operates approximately 450 stores in 43 states and four Canadian provinces.
