Fresh Thyme Farmers Market has made two executive appointments.
The value-priced specialty grocer offerings said it promoted Dean Little to COO. Little, who joined Fresh Thyme in 2017 as chief operations officer, has over 40 years of experience in the industry and previously served as the senior VP of operations for Price Chopper.
In other appointments, Tod Pepin was named chief merchandising offer. Previously, he served as senior VP of foods merchandising for Meijer. Pepin came to Meijer from Delhaize America, where he served as the senior VP of merchandising governance, private brands, and business planning.
“As we continue our commitment to making fresh, organic food accessible to all, we are incredibly happy to promote and bring on these innovative leaders whose passion matches our own,” said Chris Sherrell, president and CEO, Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, which is based in Downers Grove, Ill.
Fresh Thyme, which
launched in 2014, has expanded to some 75 locations throughout the Midwest. It plans to open at least four stores this year. Fresh Thyme features an extensive produce department with organic and local fruits and vegetables, 400 bulk food bins, its own line of organic and natural private label products and more.
