Hibbett Sports is now on the hunt for a CFO as well as a CEO.
The sporting goods retailer on Friday said that senior VP and chief financial officer Scott Bowman is resigning, effective April 26. Bowman, who has served as Hibbett's finance head since 2012, said he has accepted “another opportunity” that will put him closer to his family. Hibbett said it will begin the search for Bowman's successor.
Bowman’s resignation comes some two weeks after Hibbett
announced the retirement of its president and CEO, Jeff Rosenthal. A 21-year company veteran, Rosenthal was named to the top position nine years ago. He plans to stay with the retailer until his successor is named.
