The Vitamin Shoppe makes big digital hire

The Vitamin Shoppe has appointed a well-known omnichannel retail executive to a new role focused exclusively on the digital experience.

The nutritional supplement retailer named Stacey Renfro as the executive VP, chief customer and digital experience officer, effective Nov. 5.

Renfro brings with her over two decades of retail experience, with expertise in developing and implementing successful digital, e-commerce, customer experience and sales strategies. She was most recently executive VP, planning & allocations at Pier 1 Imports. Prior to taking on that role, she spent five years leading the company’s e-commerce and customer experience transformation.

Before Pier I, Renfro held a variety of roles of increasing responsibility at J.C. Penney, ending her tenure as divisional VP digital commerce. She also held various sales, operations and merchandise and planning positions at Oshkosh B’ Gosh, Home Shopping Network, Old Navy and Sears Roebuck & Company.

Renfro is the co-chair of the National Retail Federation’s Digital Council and serves on the boards of the University of North Texas Digital Retail and Center and College of Merchandising.
