Christopher & Banks Corp. has tapped a Regis Corp. veteran to head up its marketing efforts.
The struggling specialty women’s apparel retailer appointed Rachel Endrizzi as senior VP, chief marketing officer, effective June 19, 2019. She joins Christopher & Banks following 15 years at Regis Corp., where she most recently served as chief marketing officer overseeing the integrated marketing, brand management and communications strategy for the beauty salon brand, which has 7,838 locations around the world.
Endrizzi, who has more than 20 years of experience in marketing, advising well-known brands such as Polaris, Tresemme/Alberto-Culver and Famous Footwear, joins Christopher and Banks as the chain remains challenged with slumping sales. Last week, the retailer reported a loss of $6.2 million for its first quarter, up from a loss of $5.3 million in the year-ago period. Net sales fell 3.1% to $83.2 million; same-store sales fell 3.6%. E-commerce was a bright spot as online comp sales rose 10.7%.
“Rachel is a seasoned marketing executive with extensive experience in brand positioning and development, CRM, and loyalty as well as mobile and digital marketing,” said Keri L. Jones, president & CEO, Christopher & Banks, which operates 456 stores in 44 states. “We are excited to have Rachel join our team given her outstanding leadership capabilities and her proven track record of driving traffic and customer engagement.”
