CBRE props up pop-ups with new hire
For eight years, Nathan Schnefke handled specialty leasing for the 39 GGP malls that got spun off as Rouse Properties.
This week, he takes his talents to CBRE. Schnefke joins a CBRE mall and large format retail practice that has dramatically expanded the number of properties it counts as clients in the past three years. He will attempt to expend its reach further with specialty leasing and alternative-revenue programs such as pop-ups, short-term-lease in-line stores, on-site advertising, and sponsorships.
“Our clients will benefit from his experience in both proven strategies and innovative approaches,” said practice leader Mark Hunter. “Some of his expertise – such as in billboard programs – will extend to other asset classes such as office and industrial.”
The business administration graduate of Kansas State University spend five years in the Texas Army National Guard.
