With Barnes & Noble once again searching for a new CEO (having recently fired its fourth in five years), founder and chairman Leonard Riggio is feeling the heat.
Investors and publishers are worried that the chain is suffering a severe leadership crisis. But Riggio, 77, disputed the idea, in a report by
The New York Times."I have a big stake in the business, I founded it and I've been here forever, so I think there's a lot of stability that comes with that," Riggio told the Times. "If we're without a leader, I'm it."
