As part of a strategic initiative to enhance omnichannel operations in its malls in the U.S., Unibail Rodamco Westfield has opened another Brik + Clik showroom at Westfield World Trade Center in New York.  Brik + Clik previously opened at Westfield Valley Fair in San Jose,, Calif., in October.

The showrooms aim to build a physical presence for direct-to-consumer brands across the health, wellness, home goods and clean beauty sectors. Brik + Clik’s Manhattan location will showcase six brands curated by Makerhoods, the Newark, New Jersey-based platform that supports local makers in distressed neighborhoods.

Brik + Clik was founded by real estate development professionals Hemant Chevan and Eric Hirani to both enliven the physical retail environment and offer DTC brands cost-effective physical locations where customers could engage with their products.

“For customers, we are the only place they can physically touch what are otherwise exclusively online brands and still enjoy the convenience of online shopping,” said Chevan.
As part of their mission to promote the shop local movement, Brik + Clik has partnered with local brands including Kolkata Chai Co’s Goli, Brightland, Maude, Field Botanicals, Yourlixir, Aiden & Coco,Noto Botanics, w and Salt & Stone.

“Launching a proptech startup is difficult enough without the added complexity of a generational pandemic, so having a partner like Westfield was crucial for us,” said Hemant.
