Better burger chain Ford’s Garage continues expansion

Ford's Garage
Ford's Garage, a tribute to Henry himself, serves more than a dozen gourmet burgers (and a Motor-Jito).

The chain calls itself “your neighborhood burger and beer joint” and claims its interiors have the vibe of a 1920s service station--though the old Esso station didn’t have “Green and Clean” veggie burgers.

Ford’s Garage does, however, and the joint that opened in Fort Myers in 2012 now has sister locations in Michigan, Indiana along with 13 others in Florida. The 17th restaurant is now slated to open at Butler Town Center in Gainesville.

The new location will take up in excess of 7,300 sq. ft. and feature an extensive patio at Butler. The massive center that exceeds 2 million sq. ft. has long installed outdoor dining space for food and beverage tenants and added many more such sections during the pandemic.

Ford’s Garage’s extensive menu of gourmet burgers include The Model “A,” which is loaded with sharp cheddar, pico de gallo, bacon, arugula, and a sunny-side-up egg. They also serve bison and brisket burgers.

A lineup of signature cocktails are also served at Ford’s, among them the Motor-Jito, The Backseat Driver, and the Model Tea.
