American Dream kicks off season-long NFL events
A retail center has a certain obligation to stage the nation’s best NFL promotions when its next-door neighbor will host at least 17 league games this year.
American Dream’s property-across-the-parking lot in the New Jersey Meadowlands is MetLife Stadium, home of the New York Jets and Giants, and Triple 5’s mega-mall has planned a spate of events running across the entire season.
The kick-off event premiers this Friday — the day following the season opener between the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles — with a big party for Giants fans.
The center will host a free Giants Fan Zone and live DJ that will give visitors a chance to meet and greet team legends that will include Carl Banks, Jesse Armstead, Rodney Hampton, and Amani Toomer.
Also entering the Fan Zone will be current Giants Russell Wilson, Tryone Tracy, Malik Nabers, Jevón Holland, Brian Burns, and Kayvon Thibodeaux.
New York sports radio station WFAN will be broadcasting its “Evan & Tiki Show” (Tiki being ex-Giant running back Tiki Barber) and conducting live interviews with the gridiron stars. Evan and Tiki will also do a broadcast from American Dream on Oct. 9, when the Giants play the Eagles.
New York’s other NFL team will be represented at a two-hour breakfast where ticketholders will be able to obtain photos and autographs from legendary Jet stars Joe Klecko and Wayne Chrebet.
American Dream tenants, too, will be playing ball in this season-long event.
An “Endless Wings” promotion will be cooked up by Gameroom Powered by Hasbro; The Legends Brunch at Marcus Live! will bring fans face-to-face with some of their favorite players at breakfast buffets, and Vinoteca will give 15% discounts off all purchases every Sunday during the NFL season to fans who enter wearing team jerseys.
“Fresh off a successful summer of soccer, we continue to bring fans closer to the sports and entertainment they love through innovative experiences — and this football season is no exception,” said American Dream’s chief marketing officer Adam Petrick.
