  • Chase Properties acquires Williams Crossing shopping center

    Bedford, Ind. -- Beachwood, Ohio-based Chase Properties said it has acquired Williams Crossing in Bedford, Ind., from Horne Properties.

    Williams Crossing is a 50,000-sq.-ft. shopping center that is shadow-anchored by a Super Walmart. Other tenants in the center include Dollar Tree, Maurices, Shoe Show and Hibbett Sports. Marcus & Millichap brokered the sale.
     

  • Ulta Beauty to open at Springfield Mall this fall

    Springfield, Pa. -- Ulta Beauty said it will open at Springfield (Pa.) Mall in fall 2012.

    The 10,328-sq.-ft. store will feature a full-service salon in addition to its customary offerings, and will join anchors Macy’s and Target along with more than 70 specialty retailers at the center.

    Springfield Mall is owned by Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT) and Simon Property Group.
     

  • Fameco brings Plaza Square to 100% occupancy

    Woodbridge, N.J. -- Fameco Real Estate said it has leased retail space at Plaza Square in Wayne, N.J., bringing the center to full occupancy.
     
    The 104,000-sq.-ft. center, owned by Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers, is anchored by ShopRite with Bank of America, Dollar Power, Bensi Italian Restaurant and Wendy’s. Recent lease signings include Great Clips, Hand & Stone, C2 Education and GNC.
     

  • Northern Tool to open Corpus Christi location

    Corpus Christi, Texas -- Northern Tool + Equipment has signed a lease to open a 15,000-sq.-ft. facility in a shopping center anchored by Cavender’s Boot City, located in Corpus Christi, Texas.

    Venture Commercial, which represents Northern Tool, made the announcement.
     

  • New tenants join University Village

    Riverside, Calif. -- NewMark Merrill Cos. said that it has leased more than 27,000 sq. ft. of new tenants at the University Village shopping center, located in Riverside, Calif.

    University of Riverside added 21,672 sq. ft. to expand its educational services; Cali Basil & Oven signed a 7-year lease for a 2,589-sq.-ft. space located near 7- Eleven; Fire and Ice Land restaurant signed a 5-year lease for 1,795 sq. ft.’ and Haagen Dazs signed a 5-year lease for an 1,100-sq.-ft. space near Quiznos.

  • Colorado Mills names marketing director

    Lakewood, Colo. -- Outlet and value shopping center Colorado Mills announced the hiring of Deborah Celaya as director of marketing and business development.

    In her new role, Celaya will be responsible for strategic marketing, business development, public relations, tenant relations, guest services and tourism.

    Celaya most recently held a senior executive position at Race Partners, and has previously served as group VP for General Growth Properties.

  • Soma Intimates to open at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch

    Katy, Texas -- Soma Intimates said it will open a new boutique at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch, located in Katy, Texas.

    The new store is slated to open July 23.

    A joint venture of Houston-based Vista Equities Group and Denver-based Amstar Group, LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch is a mixed-use town center development located within the 7,600-acre master planned community of Cinco Ranch.

    Phase I of LaCenterra opened March 1, 2007 with approximately 170,000 sq. ft.
     

  • Buckle opens at Eastwood Mall

    Niles, Ohio -- Kearney, Neb.-based teen retailer The Buckle said it has opened a new location at Eastwood Mall in Niles, Ohio.

    The store, the company’s 21st in the state, celebrated its grand opening on July 16.
