  • TitleMax, Curry in a Hurry sign DC Metro leases

    Rockville, Md. — TitleMax, a title lending company, and Curry in a Hurry have signed leases in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, according to Divaris Real Estate, which represented both tenants in the transactions.

    TitleMax took 1,850 sq. ft. in Manassas Park Center in Manassas Park, Va. TitleMax has more than 1,000 stores in 12 states.

    Curry in a Hurry leased 1,706 sq. ft. in Southbridge Plaza in Dumfries, Va. Curry in a Hurry joins Quiznos, Five Guys, Pizza Boli’s and Mandrian Court.

  • Opus completes fourth Gander Mountain store

    MinneapolisThe Opus Group has completed a 45,600-sq.-ft. retail building for Gander Mountain in Albany, Ga. The project’s completion marks the fourth collaboration between Opus and Gander Mountain in the last 22 months. The new store opened on Nov. 12.

    The Albany store represents a new, smaller concept for Gander Mountain.

  • PREIT completes sale of Chambersburg Mall

    Philadelphia — Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust has completed the sale of Chambersburg Mall in Chambersburg, Pa., for $8.8 million.The sale marks another step in PREIT’s continuing effort to improve the quality of its portfolio through the sale of non-core assets. Net proceeds from the transaction totaled approximately $8.4 million.

  • Tanger Outlets National Harbor grand opening

    Greensboro, N.C. — Tanger Outlets National Harbor will celebrate its grand opening on Nov. 22. The outlet store line up includes: White House | Black Market, Calvin Klein, Gap, Halston Heritage, American Eagle Outfitters, Tommy Hilfiger, Banana Republic, Theory, Elie Tahari, Brooks Brothers, Aeropostale, Coach, Hugo Boss, J. Crew, Peter Millar, Diane von Furstenberg, Le Creuset and more.

    The 340,000-sq. ft. center is located just minutes from the U.S. Capital.

  • JLL expands in Austin and opens San Antonio office

    Austin, TexasJones Lang LaSalle has announced the addition of seven brokerage experts to its national program. Austin McWilliams joined the firm as a senior VP; Travis Sawvell and Jon Switzer joined as VPs, and Katie Carlisle joined as an associate, all based in Austin. Their additions come on the heels of the firm’s newly formed Austin Retail Brokerage practice led by newcomers Todd Wallace and Robert O’Farrell.  

  • TCN Worldwide names east regional VP

    Dallas — TCN Worldwide, a consortium of independent commercial real estate firms, has announced the appointment of Luciano D’lorio of Terramont Real Estate Services/TCN Worldwide to regional VP for the eastern region. In this capacity, D’lorio will serve as an advisor to the member firms located within this region and act as a liaison with TCN Worldwide www.tcnworldwide.com corporate headquarters.

  • New Nordstrom Rack opens in Houston spring 2014

    Seattle – Nordstrom will open a Nordstrom Rack at Village Plaza at Bunker Hill in Houston. The 30,357-sq.-ft. store is scheduled to open in spring 2014.

    The first Houston Rack store opened at The Centre at Post Oak in 2010, and the Bunker Hill Rack will be the third Rack in four years to open in the area. Nordstrom first came to Houston with a full-line store at The Galleria in 2003. The company will open its second Houston full-line store at The Woodlands Mall on September 5, 2014.

  • 99¢ Only Stores open in Menifee, Calif.

    City of Commerce, Calif. — 99¢ Only Stores will celebrate the grand opening of its new store in Menifee, Calif., by selling Westinghouse 40-inch flat-screen TVs for just 99 cents to the first nine customers in line.

    The 18,000-sq.-ft. store will feature a perishable food department with produce, dairy and frozen foods. 99¢ Only Stores currently operates 335 stores in California, Texas, Arizona and Nevada.

     

  • Easton Gateway breaks ground

    Columbus, Ohio — Steiner + Associates, The Georgetown Co. and Limited Brands have broken ground on Easton Gateway, a 54-acre addition to Easton Town Center.

    Nearly 15 years after Easton Town Center opened, Easton Gateway will introduce a number of noteworthy additions to the master-planned community, including new brands and big box retail.

  • Charter to broker Dollar Tree and Dressbarn in Connecticut

    New York -- Dollar Tree and Dressbarn have named Charter Realty and Development as the exclusive broker in Connecticut.

    Dollar Tree, a Fortune 500 company with approximately 4,700 stores looks for 8,000- to 12,000-sq.-ft. spaces. Dollar Tree is also looking for locations in freestanding strip malls and power centers.
