Shoppers can grab ChargeFuze mobile chargers at kiosks in several mall locations.

Malls are now coming to the aid of shoppers whose visits are cut short when their cell phones conk out.

Simon has joined Brookfield Properties and Westfield in installing ChargeFuze phone charging stations in a number of its malls that include Ceasars Palace and Fashion Center at Pentagon City.

ChargeFuze maintains that their station users stay longer, buy more. and are often driven to participating shopping locations by promotions appearing on its app.

Shoppers whose devices die in mid-shop can stop at one of several ChargeFuze kiosks located in malls, remove charging containers and connect their phones to them, then continue shopping while the cell regains power. When the cell is once again operational, users return the borrowed charging boxes to the nearest ChargeFuze kiosk in the center.

“They have proven to be an appreciated utility offering for our shoppers and at the same time have added key inventory to our digital media portfolio," said Simon senior VP of business development Chip Harding.

ChargeFuze holds that its chargers can ramp up power on any size cell phone, as well as cameras, laptops, and headphones.

“The Simon team is dialed in on consumer needs and is quickly supporting emerging technologies such as ours,” said ChargeFuze business development director Alec Shuman, who added that the company’s kiosks will soon be found in more Simon locations.

The Los Angeles-based company is also targeting sports facilities, entertainment venues, gaming centers, and hotels.
