Damien Huang is stepping down as CEO of Eddie Bauer one year after the company was acquired.

The chief executive of Eddie Bauer is stepping down one year after the company was acquired.

Damien Huang is leaving  Eddie Bauer, effective May 13, reported WWD. Huang joined the outdoor apparel and lifestyle brand in March 2010 as senior VP of outerwear, accessories, and gear and went on to hold multiple senior positions within the company. He was named president in 2018 and CEO in May 2021.

Prior to Eddie Bauer, Huang served as VP of design and merchandising for Patagonia.  Before that, he spent nearly 10 years with The North Face.

In May 2021, Eddie Bauer was from Golden Gate Capital by Authentic Brands Group, where it became part of the SPARC portfolio, joining other brands such as Brooks Brothers, Lucky Brand, Forever 21 and Aéropostale. (SPARC is a joint venture between Authentic and Simon Property Group.)
