PGA Tour Superstore set to open milestone store

PGA Tour Superstore is entering a new state as it continues to expand its footprint.

The specialty retailer for golf and tennis plans to open at least five new stores in 2021. The locations include three in Texas, at Barden Place Center in Arlington; Golden Plaza in Houston; and San Antonio.

In addition, PGA Tour is opening a store in Fairfax, Virginia, and at Crossroads Shopping Center in White Plains, New York. The new stores will mark the company’s ninth location in Texas, second in New York and first in Virginia, giving it a total of 50 locations.

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of five brand new locations,” said Dick Sullivan, president and CEO, PGA Tour Superstore. “Last year, a historic six million players either took up or returned to the game of golf, while at the same time as it was quickly recognized as a sport that provides ample time outdoors with natural social distancing. With these new locations, we look forward to serving everyone from beginners to well-seasoned avids to help them enjoy the game.”

In addition to a broad selection of men's, women's and juniors' apparel and footwear for golf and tennis, PGA Tour Superstore locations have multiple state-of-the-art swing simulators, practice hitting bays and large putting greens. There is also an in-house club-making and repair facility and a club-fitting studio that uses technology to provide customers of all ages and skills with the right equipment.

The new locations will feature apparel and equipment from the company’s recent partnership with Women’s Golf Day. Through this partnership and other initiatives, PGA Tour Superstore aims to help empower female golfers, including the nearly half a million who took up the sport in 2020.

PGA Tour Superstore is operated by Golf & Tennis Pro Shop, a subsidiary of AMB Sports + Entertainment.
