A new Apple Store format debuts at Cherry Hill Mall in New Jersey.

Shopping centers and malls continue to work their ways out of the confines of COVID-19 with gains in traffic and new tenants coming on-stream.

Apple has opened a new prototype store format with an outdoor seating area at one of PREIT’s premier properties, the Cherry Hill Mall in New Jersey. Opening there in the fourth quarter will be Jamba Juice and Tempur-pedic.

PREIT reported it has signed six additional new tenants at five other malls. Among them are White House | Black Market and Windsor at Woodland Mall in Grand Rapids, Mich., Planet Fitness at Moorestown Mall in Moorestown, N.J., and Blaze Pizza at Capital City Mall in Camp Hill, Pa.

"As operations continue to re-build steam, we’re continuing to make strides in rent collections and building an even more diverse leasing pipeline," said PREIT CEO Joseph F. Coradino. "We are thrilled to be welcoming new stores across our portfolio in time for the 2020 holiday season."
