New York City’s first COVID-related supplies store opens

Shoppers and businesses in Manhattan have a new place to stock up on sanitizing and personal protection items.

CV-19 Essential, billed as the city's first coronavirus safety supply store, has opened on West 35th St., in Manhattan’s Herald Square area.  The shop sells a variety of products and gadgets for personal use, homes and businesses – designed to help keep COVID-19 at bay. The assortment includes cell phone sanitizers, portable air purifiers, plexiglass dividers and portable UV lights.

CV-19 Essential is owned by New York businessman Tony Park, who owns two restaurants in the city and is also the co-owner of PD Properties.

“The goal of the store is to serve more communities and to serve people across industries, whether it’s a family wanting to make their apartment safer or a retail or restaurant business owner like me, a company wanting to make their office safe for employees, or a school,” Park said. “I want to lend my knowledge to help people.”

Park’s real estate company recently began offering office space for rent with socially distant CV-19 buildouts including UV light bathrooms, thermographic cameras and UV-C sterilizers.
