Ace Hardware, Love’s Travel Stops put out ‘Help Wanted’ signs

Two more retailers that are remaining open as essential businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic are looking to hire more workers.

Ace Hardware and its independent retailers plan to hire more than 30,000 people collectively. Full-time, part-time and seasonal positions are available at Ace Hardware's retail support centers and more than 4,300 locally owned stores across the United States.

Ace Hardware, along with its independent retailers, noted that it continues to prioritize the health and safety of their employees and customers by following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and practicing social distancing. At participating locations across the country, customers also have the option to buy online at acehardware.com and select curbside pickup or delivery from their local store, limiting in-person contact.

Also hiring is Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores, which is adding more than 2,000 employees for its travel stops, country stores, truck care centers, Speedco locations and for its Oklahoma City headquarters. Love’s operates more than 510 locations in 41 states.

Love’s has been declared an essential business by the U.S. Transportation Department for its role in taking care of professional drivers as they deliver essential goods across the country. The company recently announced wage increases, bonuses and enhanced sick pay in light of the COVID-19 outbreak.
