  • Target to showcase products chosen by Wired magazine

    MINNEAPOLIS — Target will feature electronics picked by the editors of Wired magazine, under a deal between the two.

     

    Target said the custom-curated assortment of products would include four products available for the first time at Target, including personal fitness, photography and digital music streaming.

     

  • Simon Property names senior communications exec

    Indianapolis -- Simon Property Group announced that it has named Liz Zale as senior VP in a newly created role overseeing corporate affairs and communications, effective May 1.  

    Zale's responsibilities will include supervision of Simon’s investor relations, public relations, corporate communications, and government relations functions.
     
    She previously served as senior VP investor relations for Nielsen Holdings.

     

  • FlashPark technology unveiled at The Grove

    Los Angeles -- Shopping center owner Caruso Affiliated said Monday that it has launched a new parking technology, FlashPark, at The Grove retail and lifestyle destination in Los Angeles.

    The technology allows smartphone users two free hours of parking and eliminates paper tickets and cash.

  • RadioShack woos younger consumers with Beats By Dr. Dre

    FORT WORTH, Texas — RadioShack is teaming up with Beats By Dr. Dre, the popular brand of headphones and HD sound systems, on a new advertising campaign featuring recording artist Robin Thicke's hit single "Blurred Lines" and the Beats by Dr. Dre Pill portable Bluetooth speaker.

     

    The 30-second commercial ties into a special in-store offer that will allow RadioShack customers and music fans to download an exclusive remix of "Blurred Lines" with the purchase of any qualifying product.

     

  • Cache names marketing chief

    New York -- Cache said Monday that it has appointed Arnold Cohen as executive VP/chief marketing officer for the women’s apparel chain.

    Cohen’s background includes eight years with American Eagle Outfitters, where he was involved in creating the first mobile concept, the early iteration of Martin and Osa, and the back-on-campus initiative that rolled out to 50 colleges.

    Gander is using the Manhattan solutions to create a seamless experience for its customers across channels with a single view of inventory, and to allow Gander shoppers to control how and when they take delivery of Gander merchandise.
