  • Design Forum founder Lee Carpenter leaving Interbrand

    Dayton, Ohio -- Interbrand, a leading global brand consultancy, announced Wednesday that Lee Carpenter is leaving his current position as CEO of the North America region. Carpenter, CEO of Interbrand North America since 2007, will step down from his full-time role, effective July 23. He will continue to advise Interbrand during the next three months, but has decided to focus his attention on other personal opportunities.   

  • Elevating the art of retailer and supplier collaboration

    Sales and marketing services leader Crossmark unveiled a first-of-its-kind collaboration center on July 10 just steps from Walmart’s Bentonville, Arkansas, headquarters. The new facility offers the retailer and its trading partners a wide range of joint business planning, shopper insights and store execution capabilities.

  • Global brand agency CBX adds retail vet to branded environments team

    Global brand agency CBX has appointed Anthony Simon as group director of its branded environments team. Simon will report to president of CBX Branded Environments Joseph Bona.

    Simon joined CBX from TPG Architecture, an architecture and design firm in New York City, where, as design director, he was a responsible for business development, direction and management of design concepts and staff, and account relationships. His key accounts included Perry Ellis, Original Penguin, Crocs, Adidas, Charming Charlie, HTC, RXR and The Empire State Building.

  • Divaris announces leases for Richmond shopping centers

    Richmond, Va. — Divaris Real Estate has leased shopping center space in Richmond to two retailers and a restaurant: Family Dollar, Wilson Lee Interiors and Hanako.

    Family Dollar renewed its lease for 7,150 sq. ft. in the Divaris-leased and –managed Midlothian Crossing. Divaris represented the landlord, Midlothian Associates, in the transaction.

  • SRS wins U.S. MAXI Award at ICSC

    DallasSRS Real Estate Partners earned a silver U.S. MAXI Award at the Encore Hotel in Las Vegas during the ICSC RECon Convention. The awards are open to shopping centers, shopping center companies, specialty retailers, specialty leasing managers, marketing directors and general managers.

    SRS received a silver Award in the B2B division of the Traditional Marketing category for its effective brand enhancement campaign.

    Denver — AmCap, Brixmor Property Group and Kimco have selected the Legend Retail Group to represent nearly 2 million sq. ft. of gross leasing area at 10 different retail centers across the Denver metropolitan area. The centers include:

    • Market Square, at Wadsworth and Jewell (92,759 sq. ft.; 8,090 sq. ft. available)
