  • House of Buccellati to open on Madison Avenue

    New York City -- Prudential Douglas Elliman's Retail Group said it has successfully orchestrated a buy-out/lease disposition at 46 East 57th Street for jewelry house Buccellati, and simultaneously arranged its move to 810 Madison Avenue.

    The Milan, Italy-based company has closed the East 57th Street store after more than four decades and will open in a new location on the "Jewel Mile" between 67th and 68th Streets.

    Buccellati will take immediate possession of the former Bonpoint store at 810 Madison Avenue.
     

  • In-store marketing gets a new taste at Albertsons

    SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Consumers are busier than ever and are inclined to spend as little time shopping for groceries as possible, so attracting them enough to stop and sample a new product is a challenge. Albertsons is looking to address that issue by teaming with Daymon Interactions, a consumer event marketing company, to develop a new in-house product sampling and event marketing program.

  • Cypress Retail to lease four Safeway-owned centers in Los Angeles

    Los Angeles -- X Team International announced that Los Angeles-based partner Cypress Retail Group has been retained by Property Development Centers, a wholly owned subsidiary of Safeway Inc., to serve as the leasing agent for four shopping centers under development and redevelopment in the Los Angeles area.

    The four shopping centers, located in La Canada, La Crescenta, Eagle Rock and Pasadena, are all being redeveloped, renovated or expanded, and are anchored by Vons, a Los Angeles-based, Safeway-owned grocery store.
     

  • Baker Katz leases former Hollywood Video space

    Kingwood, Texas -- Houston-based brokerage firm Baker Katz, an X Team International partner, said Thursday it has leased the former Hollywood Video at 2158 Northpark Drive in Kingwood, Texas, to First Choice Emergency Room.

    First Choice Emergency Room plans to adapt the 6,000-sq.-ft. former Hollywood Video by adding a covered ambulance entrance, installing a back-up generator and reconfiguring the interior to accommodate for examination rooms, a waiting area, labs and other medical necessities.
     

  • Target makes another move in Canada

    The first Target stores in Canada won’t open until 2013, but the company recently announced it retained MDC Partners to lead the development of its overall marketing efforts. According to the company, the MDC integrated team is being led by kbs+p Canada and Veritas Communications, along with support from Northstar Research Partners and BOOM! Marketing. 

  • RKF expands southern California office

    Santa Monica, Calif. -- Robert K. Futterman & Associates said it has doubled its Los Angeles office space to accommodate a now 10-person team.

    Robert Cohen has been promoted to president of the Southern California division and Rachel Rosenberg has been promoted to executive VP, now overseeing all Southern California operations for the firm.
     

  • Five Below opens at Pelham Manor Shopping Center

    Pelham Manor, N.Y. -- Dallas-based SRS Real Estate Partners said it has negotiated an 8,280-sq.-ft. lease for Five Below at Pelham Manor Shopping Center in Westchester County, N.Y.

    The new store opened in April.

  • Office Depot gets new ad agency, still without CEO

    BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Office Depot didn’t have to look far in its search for a new agency of record, as the Boca Raton, Fla.-based office supplies and services company announced the selection of Fort Lauderdale-based Zimmerman Advertising.
