  • CBX appoints creative director in retail environments

    New York -- CBX announced the appointment of Marco Marcellini as a creative director in the retail environments group.

    Marco, a native of Florence, Italy, brings over 12 years of experience as an architect and interior designer working on a wide range of high-end projects including retail, educational, cultural, corporate interiors, hospitality, and residential. In this new position at CBX he will be specializing in translating identities and brand strategies into 3D environments.

  • HomeGoods to open store in Simsbury Commons

    Simsbury, Conn. -- Charter Realty & Development said it has leased 23,500 sq. ft. to HomeGoods in Simsbury, Conn.

    HomeGoods, a TJX banner, will be opening in Simsbury Commons Shopping Center in a former Borders location, joining Stop & Shop, Bed Bath & Beyond, Hoyt Cinema and Bob’s Store.

    The 256,497-sq.-ft. center is owned by Columbia, S.C.-based EDENS.

    Charter Realty & Development represents TJX Cos., including HomeGoods, T.J. Maxx and Marshalls, throughout the eastern half of the United States.

  • SRS Real Estate announces new hires

    Dallas -- SRS Real Estate Partners announced two new hires in marketing for the Phoenix and Mobile, Ala., offices.

    Susan Riddle and Kelly Anderson have joined the team as marketing coordinators and will be responsible for executing the national and local marketing strategies.

    Riddle comes to SRS from Rowland Constructors where she was the marketing coordinator/executive assistant to the managing partner. Anderson joins SRS from Pilot Catastrophe where she served as an independent contractor for Allstate Insurance.
     

  • RadioShack selects lead advertising agency

    Fort Worth, Texas -- RadioShack Corp. said Thursday it has selected Grey New York as its lead advertising agency of record, concluding a review process that first launched last November.

    "We're thrilled for the opportunity to collaborate with this team as we continue transforming our brand, with a sharp focus on building consumer awareness of our wireless offering and driving traffic into our stores," said Jim Gooch, president and CEO of RadioShack Corp.

  • Elijah Peters Optique to open Manhattan flagship

    New York City -- Prudential Douglas Elliman's Retail Group said it has orchestrated a long-term lease for Elijah Peters Optique at 1039 Third Avenue, between 61st and 62nd Streets.

    The luxury boutique represents the Elijah Peters Optique's first U.S. flagship.
     

  • StoreBoard Media Canada teams with Staples Canada and Zellers

    New York -- StoreBoard Media announced Tuesday that its licensee, StoreBoard Media Canada, has added Staples Canada and Zellers to its in-store billboard network, which offers marketers an opportunity to advertise their brands on security pedestals located at entranceways and in other high-traffic areas of stores.

    The pair of agreements will add nearly 4,000 security pedestals to the StoreBoard Canada network.

  • Casual Male representative teams with Great American Group for Kuwait store opening

    Woodland Hills, Calif. -- Kuwait-based trading and contracting company The Standard Arabian Business & Enterprises Co., which represents Casual Male, said Thursday it will use Great American Group GA Store Opening Services program for a retail location in Kuwait.

    The Sabeco project represents the first time Great American Group's new Store Opening Services have been used outside the United States.

  • Food Lion taps Mullen as advertising agency of record

    Salisbury, N.C. -- Food Lion announced it has selected Boston-based Mullen as its advertising agency of record. Mullen will be responsible for developing Food Lion's advertising campaigns and partnering with the company on integrated marketing initiatives in support of the Food Lion brand.

    Mullen succeeds Ames Scullen O'Haire as the agency of record. The terms of the contract were not disclosed, and new creative and advertising could take effect as early as first quarter 2012.
