99 Cents Only Stores is collaborating with Instacart to provide same-day online delivery from a majority of its store locations.

A leading extreme-value chain is the latest retailer to partner with online delivery platform Instacart.

99 Cents Only Stores is now delivering online orders in two hours or less from more than 300 store locations across California, Arizona, Nevada and Texas, via Instacart. Building on an initial, successful 23-store pilot launched in May 2021, the retailer is making its entire merchandise assortment available for same-day delivery, with fulfillment by Instacart.

Consumers can now shop 99 Cents Only for same-day delivery on the Instacart website and mobile app. In addition, the retailer is offering a white-label same-day delivery storefront on its e-commerce site. 99 Cents Only is promising delivery of online purchases within two hours or less.

On the Instacart site, customers can begin shopping from 99 Cents Only by visiting the dedicated 99 Cents Only page, or by downloading the Instacart app on their mobile device. Customers then enter their ZIP code and select their local 99 Cents Only store to begin adding products from the retailer to their Instacart cart. For all orders made directly via Instacart, a personal shopper will put the order together for delivery in two hours or less.

Instacart continues to expand its range of retail partners far beyond its initial focus on grocery and CPG retailers. The company is adding 99 Cents Only following its June 2021 widescale rollout of same-day delivery of online orders from extreme-value teen and tween retailer Five Below.

In addition, in August 2021, Dollarama became Instacart’s first extreme value discount retail partner in Canada. Other chains outside Instacart’s core grocery/CPG vertical that have entered same-day delivery partnerships with the company include Family Dollar, Dick’s Sporting GoodsBest BuySephoraStaples, and Big Lots.

“We’re pleased to partner with Instacart as part of our efforts to provide a world-class shopping experience for all our community members,” said Mary Kellmanson, chief marketing officer at the 99 Cents Only Stores. “With this new collaboration, we’re offering a seamless way for customers to access our wide assortment of quality products at extreme values, including fresh produce, household staples and more, delivered right to their doorsteps.
