Sears Holding Corp. said its net loss for the quarter ended on Feb. 2 narrowed to $489 million from $2.4 billion a year earlier.

Sears Holdings announced that both Sears and Kmart stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day.

Kmart announced it is launching an in-store bill pay program that will allow customers to pay bills from more than 3,000 companies—everything from electric, gas and cable bills to credit card statements and auto loans.

Sears Holdings Corp. reported that it generated a profit of $189 million for the quarter ended April 28, after losing $170 million in the same period last year.

Sears Holdings has expanded the availability of its in-store professional apparel shop to 91 Sears and Kmart stores nationwide.
