Crossroads Cos. names leasing head

Crossroad Cos. announced that it has named Carlo J. Caparruva as EVP of leasing services, charged with overseeing all leasing activities related to Crossroads’ development projects and existing portfolio, as well as third-party real estate services.

When an 180,000-sq.-ft. Walmart Supercenter opens at Hunter Crossroads this fall, it will mark the first major retail opening in the shopping center, which is part of a larger 160-acre planned mixed-use project.

Developed by Hunter Crossroads LP, the center is being leased by Transwestern, based in Dallas.

Construction on the new Walmart is more than halfway completed; expected opening date is September 2013 and the store will feature Walmart’s smaller, more efficient prototype in lieu of its more traditional 220,000-sq.-ft. layout.

Trio of new tenants complete Phase II of Crossroads at Somerset leasing

Crossroads Cos., based in Mahwah, N.J., announced that three new Crossroads at Somerset lease agreements have rendered the retail Phase II component of the grocery-anchored neighborhood shopping center fully occupied.
