  • Fameco’s Center City leasing team signs seven new deals

    Philadelphia -- Fameco Real Estate said that its Center City leasing team has signed seven new retail leases in Philadelphia.

    On Walnut Street, Chipotle leased 2,300 sq. ft., Swarovski leased 1,800 sq. ft., and Urban Igloo entered the market with its first lease.   

  • Swire Properties breaks ground on Brickell CitiCentre project

    Miami -- Swire Properties announced it has broken ground on its Brickell CitiCentre project, a $1.05 billion mixed-use development that is billed as the largest private sector venture of its kind in Miami history.

  • Body Central opens at Cumberland Mall

    Vineland, N.J. -- Philadelphia-based Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust said that Body Central has opened a 4,256-sq.-ft. store at Cumberland Mall, in Vineland, N.J.

    Justice also recently opened at Cumberland Mall, which is anchored by Boscov’s, Marshalls, J.C. Penney, Burlington Coat Factory, Michaels, Old Navy and Bed Bath & Beyond.

     

  • La Boulange du Dome opens at Westfield San Francisco Centre

    San Francisco -- Westfield Group said that its Westfield San Francisco Centre has added another celebrated chef to its roster with the opening of La Boulange du Dome by French master baker Pascal Rigo on June 25.

  • Baskins Western and Work Wear continues expansion with 3 new stores

    Austin, Texas -- Dallas-based SRS Real Estate Partners said that three new store locations have been finalized for Baskins Western and Work Wear in Baton Rouge, La.; Lafayette, La.; and Katy, Texas. 

    The new stores will include 12,000 to 15,000 sq. ft., and will bring the western apparel retail chain to 28 total locations.

  • Aritzia to open 13,000-sq.-ft. flagship in New York City

    New York -- Canadian retailer Aritzia will open its largest store to date, a 13,000-sq.-ft. flagship on Fifth Avenue in New York City.

    The apparel retailer is taking over a space previously occupied by Esprit. The location is in a building that is part of Rockfeller Center.

  • Virgin Mobile opening first 10 retail stores on Friday, could prompt rollout

    Chicago -- A Thursday report by Bloomberg said that the Sprint-owned pay-as-you-go carrier Virgin Mobile will open 10 retail stores on Friday in Chicago, as part of its plan to leverage iPhone’s expansion into the prepaid wireless space.
     
    With the openings, Virgin Mobile will become the second U.S. prepaid service to offer the Apple device, following the iPhone’s debut at Leap Wireless International on June 22.

  • Dick’s Sporting Goods to anchor new phase of Alliance Town Center

    Fort Worth, Texas -- Fort Worth-based Trademark Property Co. said Tuesday that Dick’s Sporting Goods will open at Alliance Town Center, located in North Fort Worth.

    The 50,000-sq.-ft. store will anchor a 140,000-sq.-ft. Phase 2 of the center. Construction on Dick’s is scheduled to begin in July with opening set for summer 2013.

    Alliance Town Center, currently 800,000 sq. ft., is a joint venture of Hillwood and Trademark, and is part of the 17,000-acre Alliance, Texas, master-planned community.

  • Harris Teeter to make Goldsboro market debut

    Goldsboro, N.C. -- Casto announced that Harris Teeter will open a 53,000-sq.-ft. store at Memorial Commons, located in Goldsboro, N.C. It is the grocer’s first store in the market.

    Harris Teeter is slated to open late 2013, and will join Office Depot, Subway, Starbucks and T-Mobile.

    Memorial Commons, a joint venture of Casto and 1st Carolina Properties, is a new neighborhood center located at the gateway to Wayne Memorial Hospital and Wayne County Community College.
     

  • SRS Real Estate names exec in Orlando office

    Dallas -- SRS Real Estate Partners said it has named Adam Gerry as a first VP in the Orlando, Fla., office.

    Before joining SRS, Gerry was VP sales and leasing for J. Wayne Miller Co., an Orlando-based principal, development and brokerage firm.
