  • Yellow Box store makes California debut

    Columbus, Ohio -- DSW’s Affiliated Business Group division and Yellow Box Corporation have opened the first-ever Yellow Box Footwear store in California, at the Westfield Topanga Mall, in Canoga Park.

    Founded in 1998, Yellow Box is a footwear wholesaler best known for its jeweled sandals for women. The Yellow Box retail concept made its debut in June, with a store in Miami.

  • Whole Foods to anchor 186-acre mixed-use CityLine development

    Richardson, Texas -- Commercial real estate development and investment firm KDC announced that Regency Centers will build a 40,000-sq.-ft. store for Whole Foods Market in its CityLine Market development at KDC’s 186-acre mixed-use CityLine project in Richardson, Texas.

  • Divaris signs 3 leases for 14,000 sq. ft. in Richmond

    Richmond, Virginia — Divaris Real Estate announced the signing of three leases totaling approximately 14,000 sq. ft. of commercial space in Richmond, Virginia.

    Dollar General renewed its lease for 8,000 sq. ft. in the Divaris-leased and –managed 360 West Shopping Center, located at 7218 Hull Street Rd.

    The Dolan Company signed a lease for 3,120 sq. ft. of office space, and Liquid Glass Kustomz, automotive customizing, signed a lease for 2,856 sq. ft. of flex space in the Divaris-leased and –managed Belt Trade Center.

  • Home South to open at Rock Hill Galleria

    Rock Hill, South Carolina — Southern home furnishings retailer Home South will open a 30,000-sq.-ft. store at Rock Hill Galleria, located in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The new store is slated to open this fall.

    The Rock Hill Galleria location marks the company’s second store. Its original store is situated in Charlotte, North Carolina. The company was founded in 2013 by the operators of Carolina Pottery.

  • Home South to open store in Rock Hill Galleria center

    Smithfield, N.C. – Home South, a specialty home furnishings chain operated by Carolina Pottery, is opening a 30,000-sq.-ft. store in the Rock Hill Galleria shopping center in Rock Hill, South Carolina, in the fall. Rock Hill Galleria is anchored by Belk, Sears and J.C. Penney, plus offers a variety of specialty stores including Victoria’s Secret, Aeropostale, Hot Topic, Yankee Candle, rue21, Kay Jewelers and Bath & Body Works.

  • CBRE Group acquires Louisville, Kentucky affiliate

    Los Angeles — CBRE Group announced that it has acquired CBRE | Louisville, a commercial real estate services firm that has served as CBRE’s affiliate in metropolitan Louisville, Kentucky and southern Indiana since 1996.

    The firm has a staff of 34 and manages more than 10 million sq. ft. in the region.

  • Tupelo Honey Cafe to join Town Center of Virginia Beach

    Virginia Beach, Virginia — Tupelo Honey Cafe has leased 7,000 sq. ft. at Town Center of Virginia Beach, offering traditional Southern restaurant fare. This second Tupelo Honey Cafe in Virginia will be located at the corner of Constitution Drive and Main Street on the first floor of the newly constructed 4525 Main Street Tower, according to Divaris Real Estate, which leases and manages the center.

  • JLL names Houston lead

    Houston — JLL announced it has expanded its retail capabilities into Houston with the addition of Mark Raines as a senior VP. Partnering with Dallas retail brokerage lead Clay Smith and Austin and San Antonio market lead Todd Wallace, Raines will focus on JLL’s retail business including tenant representation and agency leasing and will serve as Houston’s retail brokerage leader.

  • JLL partners with Teen Vogue for back-to-school promo

    Atlanta — Participating JLL-managed centers across the country will be hosting back-to-school events in August, as part of a partnership with Teen Vogue.
    Teen Vogue Back-To-School Saturdays (BTSS) feature teen-oriented retailer sales promotions, entertainment, fashion shows, music, food and giveaways. The multi-platform initiative involves all of Teen Vogue’s assets in print, digital, social, mobile and event marketing.

  • Cold Stone Creamery opens first Pakistan store in September

    Scottsdale, Ariz. - The Cold Stone Creamery will open its first store in Pakistan in September. Kahala Brands, the parent company of Cold Stone Creamery, has signed a master franchise agreement with Venus Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd., part of the Venus Group of companies, spearheaded by Adnan Asad.
