Asheville, N.C., Supermarket chain Ingles Markets Inc. was put on notice by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that the commission will recommend civil action against the company. In a statement, Ingles said the SEC’s Wells notice relates to vendor contracts the company entered into in 2002 and 2003 and internal accounting control issues that have been previously disclosed.
