New York -- Shopper sentiment tracker NetBase said that, since Black Friday, it has been tracking the changes in shopper moods for 10 retailers with its Holiday Shopping Mood Meter.
The company found that Kohl’s was No. 1 more often than Amazon, Walmart was the only brand with a net negative sentiment, and Old Navy broke the Top 5 only once.
Between Nov. 19 and Nov. 27, the Holiday Shopping Mood Meter analyzed the web’s big data for mentions of Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Macy’s, Amazon, Old Navy, The Home Depot, Sears, Toys “R” Us, and Kohl’s, then ranked the 10 brands based on sentiment.
Following are the daily winners based on most positive shopper sentiments:
11/19-11/20: Kohl’s
11/21: Amazon
11/22 (Thanksgiving): Macy’s
11/23 (Black Friday): Home Depot and Macy’s
11/24: Kohl’s, Amazon and Best Buy made up the Top 3
11/25: Target
11/26 (Cyber Monday): Amazon, followed by Kohl’s and Best Buy
11/27: Kohl’s
